Is it necessary to have a building lawyer to review builder's contract?

If so, can you please recommend a good building lawyer in Melbourne?

    Thanks.

Is it a HIA contract? These tend to be fairly standard and you're reasonably well protected unless they've put a bunch on special conditions in there.

Getting legal advice is always best practice of course:

They have specialist property lawyers. I think William Elder might be one of the guys to talk to.

Property lawyers (conveyancing & land law) are different to those who do construction contracts.

Colin Biggers & Paisley are construction lawyers.
