    I think you should be doing Applied Finance rather than Accounting if your goal was to understand the financial world a bit more?

    This is one of the most common mistakes I see in younger people where they thought they need an accounting degree to work in a Bank......

    I too, was never good with maths/numbers .

    I would be vary wary of the costs associated with holding property investments. The idea that they'll be throwing off excess cash is very unlikely.

    If you're aware of that, and can afford holding costs then go for it and hopefully capital growth will do its thing
