QLD Gold Coast townhouse (Miami, Varsity Lakes)

Hey guys,

we are currently renting in Miami & absolute LOVE this area

the catch is, at the moment, we couldn’t afford to buy anything here

we have about 500k - which means we have started looking at townhouses around Varsity Lakes, Merrimac etc

we want to live as close to the ocean as possible

The number one concern is providing a good lifestyle for my children who also love this area
Secondly, I don’t want to lose money

any ideas on purchasing a townhouse atm.. things to avoid/ things to look for etc

anyone have experience on the GC ?

Try and buy something east side of gc highway between Surfers and Burleigh. Mermaid beach can't go wrong.

I know this thread is a bit old but it looks like you have a young family - a good public Primary school should figure in your decision process...perhaps even better, a suburb with a good Primary School AND High School (as close to the water as you can afford).

I'd also opt for a house vs a townhouse in the GC so beg, borrow, steal to increase your budget.
