Interesting thread! Gets people to actually write their goals down too, I like it!

    My goals are;

    - Finish current renovation by end of Feb (kitchen and outside)
    - Complete renovation on other investment property (subject to getting access)
    - Continue establishing plumbing business, aiming for it to become my main source of income by end of 2016.
    - Run Perths City to Surf Marathon in August
    - Take 2 overseas holidays
    - Read 12 books (stolen from @Blacky as I think it's a great idea).

Will be good looking back this time next year and seeing how we have all gone!

    I like this idea :)

    - Formulate my PI strategy and lock in my long term goals
    - Continue to learn as much as I can about property investment
    - Have at least 2 new successful IPs by the end of 2016
    - Be a better person in mind and body
    - Learn something new and interesting

On faster, open trails, a 450 is fantastic. However when it gets tight they're just too heavy and the fun stops. I've had three KTM 300's and they're awesome however i've now gone to a 250 two stroke - wow! So easy to ride in the extreme stuff and slices up the flowing stuff. I'll enjoy racing it next season.

@Azazel You're welcome to come riding with me to see who the girl is ;). In fact a couple of the girls that ride with us are national-level racers. Pretty sure they'd dust you up on their two strokes :D.

Personally I want to be able to spend more focused quality time with my 2 kids and wife in the moment rather than trying to achieve the "next" thing.

For the last 10 years I have been very focused and driven on planning and taking action toward achieving goals I have set myself and for the security of my family.

For whatever reason I'm at a point now where I keep thinking of that saying.,,,

"Life is what happens while you are busy making plans for the future"

Life is short, goals are great to set and achieve, but don't let the precious moments you can spend with people you care about just slip away....because you cannot get them back!

There needs to be a balance....

I recently read a joke that went something like this: I hate being asked about my 5 year plan. I don't have 2020 vision.

Not bad, but planning is different to if you were working a J.O.B trying to get ahead. Plans and goals will get you ahead.

    All in moderation I guess!

Doing a 180 and going to completely remove focusing on making money as important, as its made my life less than satisfied in the past.

My goals are to be a better person, help others and be content, that is all.

For everything else, either do or don't do.
Whatever happens will happen, but I don't feel the need to measure and perform to certain levels.

    A truck? Far out!
One of my goals for 2016 will be not getting hit by a car on my bike (pushy).

we weren't going fast so I didn't get much injuries. squashed the bike though and had to jack the truck up to get the bike out from underneath it.

Amen to that. I feel too old to let another moment slip by without enjoying it. Going forward, I just want to make sure my children are ok and live good lives.

With the benefit of age, I have come to realise that the rat race is just a rat race. Rather than serving someone else, I've finally come to a point in my life where I know that there is greater pleasure to be had by just smelling the roses and helping others.

Oh - that's my goal as well. Not be hit by a crazy driver. We drive too fast in San Antonio. And some crazies think that they can still drive 120 on wet/slippery roads.
