I vote for Alexandra....nice name- everyone can spell it and it goes well with Moore.
Others to consider: Bronte, Matilda, Evie, Calisse, Ruby. Exciting times - enjoy! :)

I don't know if @Jamie Moore had anything to do with the naming of this coffee shop. It's rather clever.

Especially as the address is 1 Moore St.

I would go with a name that matches the surname, so it sounds crisp when she's announced as the school dux or has to introduce herself. It's a huge benefit if you can announce your name once and have it recognised without needing a repeat.

There are certain ending sounds of the first name that don't necessarily easily go with the surname. Some slur into one another when pronounced unless you introduce an unnatural stop. This makes it hard to seperate first name from surname.

Others, because of the last and first sounds, have a stop that introduces an awkward pause. You want a happy medium where the first name is distinct from but still flows through to the surname when pronounced with an interval that demonstrates that it's firstname : surname.

Since Moore is a not uncommon ending it might not be good to have a short first name otherwise it could be confused as being a long first name, especially if they easily roll together. As Moore is one syllable, maybe the first name should be two or three?

Completely unscientific, but I reckon these work:

    Audrey Moore
    Michelle Moore
    Megan Moore
    Sharon Moore
    Vanessa Moore
    Samantha Moore

While not all horrid these aren't so good (IMHO):

Eva Moore (it could be assumed that it was Evamore as a first name)
Jemima Moore (apart from being that doll on Play School)
    Emily Moore
    Phyllis Moore
    Sophia Moore
    Chloe Moore
    Leah Moore
    Sam Moore
    Doreen Moore
    Hollywood Moore

    Congrats, Jamie :):)

I've always liked Melissa since watching Little House on the Prairie. Loved the actress who played the spunky main character. Main character's name was beautiful too - Laura.

My 3 turned out to be boys, so couldn't use any pretty girl names.

    Enjoy your princess :)
