Is it just me , or are others also impatient for all workplaces to get back to work? I especially want government offices, tradies and builders, suppliers to get back to work pronto. Even during the Xmas break I wasn’t really thinking about ‘holiday mode’ and just counting the days till everyone goes back…

Anyone else feel this way or are you all too busy enjoying the festive season..?

Xmas day was the only day I didn't do any work. People being on holidays caused me so many delays.

when you run your own business you never really feel on top of it all and that your work is done for the day/year.

I'm pretty relaxed about the break. In all aspects except for some work that will be going on in one of the units in a complex I own. Its being delayed because of the holiday period (engineers taking the holiday break) and unfortunately affecting me directly... i'd like it to be completed pronto.

But since I think the holidays made the vendors happy/keen to sign our offer for the PPOR... I really have little to complain about. Holiday period - Score 1 Gockie!! :)

I've got a couple of tenants who have conveniently decided to give themselves a rental payment holiday just before the agencies close for the break. I'm keen to get onto this tomorrow, and get paid by a couple of agencies who didn't or couldn't arrange monthly rental payments at the end of the month.

In these days of computerised simplicity, some banks don't process regular payments or transfers on public holidays then wait until midnight at the end of the first working day to make the payment.

Cant wait for the tourists to go - at the moment this place [Nelson Bay] is full up and overflowing making life miserable for the residents :(

PS We knew it was a tourist spot when we moved here, just didn't realise the impact at Xmas and Easter.

After last year, settling on our 6 cottages 4 days before Christmas, we only had one day off ... this year we were determined to have a week at the beach ... weather was lousy and we both ended up with man-flu so slept most of the time ... :(

I'm eager to get this year on the road - it's got all of last year's to-do list on it :confused:

Last year - Weren't you painting your living room in 40+ degree heat before the air conditioner could be installed. Sorry to read about the flu.
