    Hi guys,

Looking for suggestions from people more creative than I. We just had these retaining walls built to level the backyard and of course they can’t be built right up against the back fence, but now we are left with a gap that isn’t exactly child friendly (fiancé is currently 40 weeks).

Any ideas on what we can do? I am thinking of building skinny planter boxes to sit against the fence that could also be used as a seat around the grass. Not wanting anything too chunky that it takes away the grass.

    Thanks in advance!

    J.

I’d just put in the same style sleepers (150mm or 200mm depending on the gap), flat across the gap screwed down to the retaining wall and notched around the fence posts so it butt up to the fence.

I'd agree with @Ace in the Hole - screw a timber capping to the top of the retaining wall if you want to close the gaps.
