I read about their ASIC issues before attending.. Pushing SMSF.

She didn't even stop for 3 seconds on the SMSF slide. Saying we have professionals that can assist. But didn't go further than that.

 

too scared of all the ASIC members in the audience maybe.

Mate - I have been close to this - they have set up 500+ SMSF that bought property according to what ASIC knows I have dealt with quite few of these and lives are ruined due to these clowns. The fact that they can still talk about SMSFs in a presentation shows what a failure 3 years of ASIC resources and investigation has been. When they get to house, your 'consultant' will ask about your super and quickly people are signing up for a property inside and outside their smsf. The process to report this is significant and for no reward. Bloody disgusting that these vultures still exist.

To be clear, I knew from the very start who these shady operators were. They are not educators. I went to the event out of curiosity and to actually see them in action. Also apparently there was meant to be a state by state market update - which I was interested in hearing about.

To be clearer: I prevented my step father from buying a property house and land from a group like this in Toowoomba in October 2015. He had actually already signed the contract and all. Howeve I managed to crash it.
I also talked my in laws out of a similar property somewhere around Ipswich (house and land) from another "we do it all" group. They have since bought a great property in Rochdale South (they live in a neighboring suburb).

It is truly frightening the damage these spukers can do..

Also, I was born in Melton South (1985), so I am aware of its fundermentals haha.

Like Ben Kingsley (Property Couch) always says, 90% of what you here at the sprukers seminar is correct, but it's the 10% that is totally obsurd. But these con artists get you saying yes yes yes all night, so attendees are constantly in agreeable with the presenter, so when they deliver their incorrect facts people still agree because all night up until then they have been doing so. Very sneaky tactics.

Terry to answer your question they didn't cover SMSF. There may have been a slide that mentioned it but she didn't even stop on it and kind of double clicked past it

All of them are pushing Melton @ its surrounds right now... John Fitzgerald /Custodian Wealth, Park Trent , Ironfish etc.... It's the new Pimpama.


Great for those who own stock there already. They'll see a nice increase as the Qld brigade pumps up the area with out of state investors. Not so great for those paying overs for house and land packages from these types, with 40-50K comms built in.

 

It's ok to go, have a quiet giggle at some of the nonsense they present.
But as Rolf said leave the credit card at home, run silent run deep.

This group is running a seminar at Rooty Hill RSL on Thursday which we are attending. Dont even know how they got the mrs details, must have got details form something she filled out at the home show.
Based on previous comments, will leave CC at home.....
Wonder what areas of Sydney they will be pushing to sell......
