VIC Footscray?

    If I can hold say 1000sq of land through 2 houses in Footscray thats hugely negativly geared.
    Or hold the same amount of land through 4 small 70s style unit complexes. Held neutrally or only a few dollars negative.

    I choose the later your still controlling the same amount of land in the same suburb without losing huge amounts of cashflow if any.

    These things were built very differently to the new shiny stuff the land content is significant in comparison.

    Their making more and more of the new pokey tiny apartments don't you think some people will look at these older flats and say hey that's a better choice I get a carpark that isn't hard to get into. If you chose well they have a little private courtyard and inside is renovated to match the new stuff without the small dimensions.
    In 30 years time the new stuff now will be considered old the 70s stuff will be still old

    I feel the key is they arnt making more of them.

    Footscray took late, maidstone, maribynong pretty good.
