Busiest time of the year for me - so can't really afford the downtime.

Fortunately internet is back up now - seems to have been a problem at the NBN end and wasn't a line which required a physical visit here.

This is going to be contentious, but I had a chicken schnitzel overseas which was much bigger than any in Australia.

My home is really old, the garage is nowhere near the entry to my home. So, if I park the car in the garage in this crappy weather, I have to carry an umbrella from the garage to my home to stop getting wet!

I cancelled my ski trip :(

So I've gone without for 3 seasons.

I've gone without a ski trip for many more seasons than you.

It was only down the road for you @ corin forest, if I lived that close I would've taken up Nordic Skiing & shaken off the embarrassment of driving a Volvo. :p

One has to be interested enough in skiing to do that. When you're cold all day every day, you don't want to be even colder on the weekend. I have such "fond" memories of standing on the sidelines, watching our daughters play soccer when it was snowing in Canberra.

Why do the tv broadcasters put the entire new series on catch-up tv when only the first episode has aired?

We had to binge-watch the entire new Mystery Road on i-view last night.

    (Well worth watching BTW).

Well - it is more annoying when a streaming service drops only one episode a week so you either wait until the season has finished or revert back to discussing around the water cooler

Bought a nice bottle of wine while out and about ... went to open it and WTF it's a cork!

Who the heck has a corkscrew in this day and age? Had to search out the Swiss army knife

Why is it - when you need to print something out because it's easy to have a ticket/timetable in hand than fiddle with the small phone screen - the printout version always has a ton of black on it. Such a waste of printers ink

That 5 minutes - late afternoon - on a sunny day - when the setting sun catches across the benchtops and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen ...

While buying tickets for a train in France. No, I don’t go by the title of either Mrs. or Sir. A selection between the two is mandatory though….

Surprising for a non-secular society such as France yet their language assigns gender to everything including inanimate objects.
