I'm sure we have one in our ceiling. We've certainly had them inside the house, crawled into the arm of a leather couch. We carried it outside and allowed it to leave and go back home (ceiling). I like that it will eat any rats it might find up there (we've had rats in our ceiling in the past).

I wouldn't want to cuddle one, but can happily live with them if they stay out of sight up in the ceiling. :D

This ad keeps coming up on my facebook. The spelling is so grating grrrr.
Ps. I'm going to Miss Fit in Artarmon. 1-1 attention. I tried the free trial class at Sydney Pole but there was no individual attention in the trial class. Screenshot_20211206-101944_Facebook.jpg

I'm with you. Spelling mistakes in professional posts drives me nuts, especially when it's so easy to fix

So today was forecast to have up to 35mm of rain here in Sydney - so I packed wet weather gear for the All Schools athletics championships we were at all day.

Of course, it turned out to be warm and sunny instead and now I'm a bit sunburnt because I didn't pack sunscreen or a hat

You need sunscreen for liquid sunshine too.

So the bank decided to put a hyphen in my name …. Again

I’m starting to think it might be easier to change my name or change my bank.

They do this every few years, I fix it, they do it again. Even had to pay $600 for new house deeds once.

this would be about the 5th time in 30+ years we’ve done this dance

If I book a cab, I have to pay a booking fee but if I grab one off the street I don't. So I get charged extra for giving taxi companies the certainty of a booking vs the cabbie driving around waiting for a fare.

    It makes no sense.

Other side of the coin: You get charged extra for a possibly higher likelihood of getting a taxi vs the complete uncertainly of getting a taxi. Of course, you could Uber etc instead.

I went to pick up my bike from the workshop after I received a notification that it was ready, got up there within ½ hr (well before 5pm) & it was closed early due to Covid-19.

I am dumbfounded. Popped up to the shops earlier, a guy walks out of the Bottlo, promptly opens up his brew & has a swig or two, then drove off.

What got me though was that he was an Uber driver.

I’d think people who drive for a living should have a zero (or 0.02) blood alcohol limit

In NSW, .02 % applies to driversof public vehicles such as taxi or bus drivers. While not stated explicitly, I would assume (and hope) that this applies to Uber drivers. I'm not sure about an off duty uber driver.

In Victoria, the limit is zero while on duty, .05 otherwise.

Can't have an open container of alcohol in the car either.
