    Sorry about your friend.

I assume he wanted to go out with a bang. Like the concept.

I got the special $1080 tax rebate in full, but it wasn't enough to pay for the new unicycle I just bought. How does this government expect to grow the economy if they won't pay me to import products from China ?

I'm scared, I think. Alan Kholer's report on ABC tonight touched on the indicators of the US economy going into recession and all of the indicators showing that it isn't on the verge of a recession. He finished with 'nothing to see here....'.

Putting your finger through 3 ply toilet paper, guaranteeing that you need to wash your hands with soap from a non-recyclable bottle.

I turned around and ended up working from home. But I really find the setup at home annoying. Small user unfriendly screen on the laptop, no mouse etc (ok, my setup isn't the best). I feel to do any work from home is so much harder.

Ps. Sydney trains charged me $1.80 for my non trip. Epping metro rail to Chatswood. Waited at a platform at Chatswood for nearly 1 hour. Changed platform to go back to Epping. I did not exit any barriers.
I should charge them wait fees.... $60 per hour.
I spent 2 hours on that non trip...

My home office is pretty good. I have a standard desk, 27" screen, mouse and a decent chair. That's all you need - probably throw adjustable desk in if you are changing your set up :p
The only reason why I find working from home is much harder is because I have two dogs and they are too cute:rolleyes:

I'm on my sofa (chaise sofa) working. I could sit at a table and there I could possibly also plug in an external monitor (it's sitting right there), (and a mouse too, why not go all out) but from the table then I would not have my blanket on me.... #FirstWorldProblem....

    P.s. awwww... Dogs :)
    Nice distraction :)

That's the location for "@" on some Asian keyboards, isn't it? I know Brit keyboards also have a few things in different places. American/Oz keyboards should have it as shift2. Huh... very odd.

I am supposed to be going out for dinner tonight with some colleagues and I wanted to make a good impression. It's bad enough trying to decide what to wear, then the weather changes and it's either too hot or too cold.

But wait, my car was booked in this afternoon to get some essential work done and the loan car was not ready when I went down there to get it.

Mechanic: "Would you mind taking the ute?"

Me: "Sure," thinking that should make an impression!

Mechanic; "Sorry, it's a bit dusty and all"

Me: "All good. I can crash it into a Hipster or bus stop or something in the Valley tonight".

Drives three klms home in the rain in a rusty old ute with more than 300Ks on it and the clutch slips worse than mine. Thinks about peak hour traffic, in the dark, in an unfamiliar part of town and stalling trying to turn right just after the Storey Bridge. Nah, my friends can avoid getting Bogan Germs on them this week.
