    Hi,

I am a 30 year old FIFO professional and have been commuting to Perth from Adelaide for the past 3 years. Due to Coronavirus I am looking at purchasing my first home in the next 0-12 months.

I am looking for suburb suggestions that are close enough to the airport for my weekly commute as well as close enough to the city for when I progress to an office based role (aiming for the next 5 years).

My budget is 400-550k and I am ideally looking for a new house with 3+ bedrooms. I'm not too concerned about a large backyard (or at all) as I'm OK with low maintenance.

I'm been looking around Kewdale, Belmont, Vic Park etc but it seems a lot of Perthians are divided on whether these areas are 'dodgy' and always have other suggestions (ie Subiaco etc).

Please suggest suburbs that I should research or comment on whether the aforementioned suburbs I have been researching I should steer clear of.

My vote would be either greater vic park area, or inner suburbs south of river - anything cockburn or above.

But really with that budget you have lots of options so it might be worth adding some more criteria.

Out of those suburbs I'd pick Vic Park as it's better and has some great ammenities for a younger person.

Also I would check out postcode 6062 (Morley, Noranda and Embleton) as it's easy access to Tonkin Hwy to get to airport, future rail link options (to city or airport).

You could pick up a brand new villa (ultra low maintenance) or an older home on a larger block in the area
