LOL, trying, the combination is good, just add friends into the equation.

Great job Mr MTR, he is enjoying a nice glass of wine, his back is ruined, daughter number 2 helped him.

    Cool, looks pretty professional.
I'd have to get my old man to come and show me how to do something like that (still scared of power tools ;))

    Bump.

Looking to get a pool installed, likely to be brick. Any suggestions on builders in Melbourne's South / Sth East?

Also, has anyone ever paid the pool using a credit card?

A brick pool ? Bricks arent water proof.

In the world of tradies cards are like presenting cheques. Not well regarded. Some who do take cards will likely charge a surcharge that could be more than any "benefit"

    I mean concrete.

I won't be using cash, If the only option is bank transfer, so be it...

In regards to cc surcharges, I already pay using cc, but through a "bank transfer" provider. Fee is 1% of bill (ie: $100k bill = $1k cc fee).

    Reasons to use a cc?

    - upto 90 days no interest (if paid in full)

    - Each time a new part of the bill is due (hole dig, pool build, council permit) it could be during a new billing period (refer to no interest each bill!).

    - Money sits in our homeloan longer, thus less interest on the mortgage each day the offset has more funds.

    - If we are spending $$ on something we should receive our own reward. So we earn airline / hotel points. Already use points on every holiday we have been on, just saving them for a rainy day (permission to travel safe again!).

I would rather a surcharge benefit us the purchaser (interest free, mortgage daily interest less, travel points ($60k trip to a few countries for 3 people in Business & 1st = Less then $3k in travel costs, just for using points ;) ).

We will be spending all the debt (ie: any permittted payment option) we could need to hopefully get a pool built. Thus it is better for everyone to accept the buyers first payment choice (credit card).

Attached photo is payment terms of one quote. For anyone who can manage the financials (mortgage, wages, large priced spending, basic bills). It is easy to complete and pay each part of the billings process of a new pool.

Any of you know the cost of installing this acrylic glass to concrete pool?
    Rates per square metre maybe?
I am just seeking a guide on pricing.

    Thanks

I would think its a element of the design and build, You cant just add a thick glass panel to a pool.

I understand that. I am more interested in what the actual glass costs.

    Cheers

Sorry never done it but I have seen it in a pool and was very wowwed. The thickness of the acrylic was dependant upon the volume of the pool so it was different for different sized pools.
