    See attached, it seems Terri Scheer has responded to intense criticism about a few key policy points and made changes coming into effect 1st February 2018.

    Most important in my eyes;

    · Accidental, Malicious and Deliberate Damage – now known as Tenant Damage, once excess and one claim. – All damage is now grouped together with one excess only . No more multiple excesses , no more below the excess limit.

    This makes a big difference to most claims, where previously any number of smaller areas of damage were (ridiculously) not covered due to not exceeding the excess, even when further excesses weren't required to be paid (after two excesses, extra events didn't require payment of a further excess, but each event still needed to exceed the value of the excess).

    In my experience this included the majority of damage, which was a collection of small issues- e.g. dent in the wall, tear in the fly screen, chipped tile, etc. Often you could work around it by using the bond for the smaller items, but at times the Landlord was left to compromise in some manner as a result.

    That's great but only have one policy with them for my townhouse.
