    With the release of Canvas on facebook, I believe that small business owners will be able to better take charge of their own advertising. It works by allowing you to upload videos/photos to create an ad that is optimised to load on mobile. So if you are selling bed linen and you want to introduce users to the wide variety of sheets that you have before leading them to your website, you can do so via canvas by shooting a short video or collating a series of photos with different types of sheets.

    In short, it's a more interactive and informative form of advertising option. Do bear in mind that the ad is only available on mobile platforms.
