    Hi there,

Need some help fixing exhaust fan cover in my property, unfortunately this is something i can't attend physically to and my manager is suggesting to call electrician to replace the entire fan which i think will be quite dearer (not the fan but labour).

Brand is 'mistral', can you guys suggest where can i buy the cover for it and then have tenant replace it. Fan is good condition hence don't want to replace whole thing...or any other trade can fix this. I think electrician will charge call out fees for this 15 min job....photos attached....

    any suggestions would help...
    cheers

That's an old girl, whilst she still works I don't like your chances of easily sourcing a replacement cover.

I wouldn't trust a tenant to replace it, best to bite the bullet and get a sparky to do it.
Ring a couple yourself and get prices.

Easy option is to get a new fan exact model so the cut out hole is the same. Fan would be 50 to 100. You def need electrician to do it he would be happy with a pineapple in cash (50).

It's a plug-in, get the handyman to replace the whole thing

Where is the property located? We have a very good handyman in Brisbane.

Otherwise try Bunnings special orders desk.

I replaced one last week. Cost me $31 to buy from Bunningsand came with a plug wired in.

Took me around 30 mins to install with the wiring being unplugging the old one and plugging the new one in. so if you pay an electrician you should be looking at call out charge plus no more than an hour.

The hardest part will be finding the correct size cover, not really sure on price it's been a while since I have had to replace or repair one. Using an electrician approximately an hour labour plus parts for a replacement.

Just get sucked in when replacing that fan. Prices do vary.
