Well, I’d been fasting since 8.30 pm the night before and the operation was 7.30 am the next morning. That’s like a lifetime without food to meo_O:). Hence a T-bone doesn’t even suffice for entree after such a huge period of abstinence! Verging on famine:eek:.

My wife once had to go in at 0700hrs for surgery. Told to fast from 1900hrs the night before. She sat in the waiting room until 1730hrs before she went in to surgery! They apologised and admitted they had forgotten about her in the morning and then had to reschedule her for the evening. She was very hangry.

I imagine the subsequent outcome would be an Exchange (of) Tremendous Fury?

Well isn’t this thread about anything with the acronym ETF:confused:? Or is that EFT? Then again if one is dyslectic it could TFE, TEF or any combination. One shouldn’t discriminate.

Glad to see we’re back on topic:).

You've misspelt this. It should be abbr. :)

    Pedantry rules.

But shouldn't it be abbreviation rather than abbr?

I've always wondered why abbreviation is almost always spelt out in full. I've done my little bit to try and correct this grave injustice, but it's been scuttled. :-(

Brilliant, thank you, something I can finally see and make sense of. My vision is obliviously improving:).

There are other forums where topic drift is much more of an issue.

Looks like VAS (3.86bn) has overtaken STW (3.81bn) by market cap
