Hi, have started looking around Enfield to purchase our ppor (house), but not much familiar with it. Can anyone share info about this suburb? Any particular street to avoid? How is the Enfield public school? Thanks in advance.
We live in Lane Cove atm, and simply love it. But we are now priced out for house purchase anywhere in lower north shore, so now have started looking around innerwest.
Enfield, South Strathfield, Croydon Park should offer similar value. Belfield is slightly cheaper again.
Enfield has Henley park The city’s oldest Olympic swimming pool is in Enfield. Gets busy on weekends on Mitchell st due to the flower power. The lack of a train station makes it a relatively quiet suburb despite being quite close to Burwood and Strathfield. Well serviced with buses to Burwood/Strathfield/Liverpool/Ashfield/400 bus direct to airport (on Burwood road). Low supply. Expensive. Hard to enter as well established families not upselling.
Enfield is ok-ish. Strathfield/Burwood is better, but you do pay more. Burwood / Strathfield are pretty quiet when you get about 8 min walk away from the main shopping strip. @almostthere What is your budget and what kind of land size are you after?
Check out this property I found in Enfield NSW 30 Byer Street Enfield NSW 2136 - House for Sale #128206682 - realestate.com.au This one was listed at $1.05m, but it faces the carpark of a pub.
Probably be able to pay off your mortgage in a year by making a YouTube channel of all the antics. Haha
Grew up on Portland st. Unfortunately lots of drug deals happening around Henley Park. Its certainly a different demographic from Lane Cove...
