    Hi There,
I bought my first property ever as one title land&house package. Dual occupancy home though (3,1,1 + 1,1,1 ) and its under the building process atm. The plan is, I will be living in the smaller unit and renting out the bigger unit. I read here and there about landlord insurance vs building insurance. But things still are not so clear as I will be living in a part of the house so I cant get full landlord insurance.

Any suggestions of companies that can help in this situation. Also, I wish if both policies under one company's roof.

Thanks a lot for any replay in advance
    cheers

I believe this would be treated the same as a granny flat as there is no separate title.

Renewing landlord insurance for house + granny flat (NSW)

EBM should cover you in this scenario, with a building insurance policy covering the whole house and landlord insurance just for the rented portion.

As @John_S has mentioned, we would be able to look after this. If you would like someone to give you a call please private message me your contact details.

    Regards
