    Hi Hodor,
    Ensure that you install soak wells to your property as a matter of urgency!
    If you have a sandy soil,with the downpipes positioned at the corners of the property the soil supporting the foundations will be eroded causing structural damage to the foundations.
    A clay soil will expand in wet weather and the void created when it dries and contracts will be filled by loose soil being blown in by the wind.When it again expands it will push the foundations upwards and cuase structural cracking.
    In both soil types the absence of adequate drainage is a condition conducive to termite attack.
