    Does anyone have any recommendation for DIY strata body corp? something that details legal requirements and provides template documents for all the record keeping.

    I heard a kit is available from her for a fee which I am investigating;

    Wondering if there was anything else available?

    How many lots are in your building? And how do the other owners feel about self-management of your building?

    8 units, other owners are willing to get involved with the self-management.

    just to update my original post, turns out strataman doesn't provide the kits anymore.

    I would think really hard about doing this - you are choosing to do all the administration work when you should be focused on good governance/strata committee matters.

    As a single owner, the strata manager fees are in the $300-$450 range annually. If a few owners do all the work, basically they are saving the other lot owners money but not themselves.

    Having an "independent" administrator although directed by the strata makes governance a lot easier.

    I agree and wonder how long the Secretary will last doing all the meeting agendas and minutes, and maintaining the strata roll. And who will be organising the quotes, and taking care of by-law implementations, breaches and enforcement?
