    Ha! I should not have jinxed it. The dishwasher in question broke down a few months ago. Unrepairable. It was 5 years old or 7 years old though. Not bad for a cheapie.

    I replaced it with a reconditioned second hand unit. It's great!

    I've yet to find a single honest appliance repairman in my whole career. It just seems like a dodgy industry. We used to repair appliances ourselves (Repaired a BOSS garage door opener for $60 instead of $500!) but don't really have time anymore.

    We had a Bosch that lasted 7 years with 2 x washes per day in our PPOR. Replaced it with a $400 Beko and have also got one in an IP for 18 months and no problems so far. They have good online reviews as well last time I checked.
