I love how fast it's going up. I have fortnightly reports in my contract but this is so exciting I'm going there every week at the moment :)

    Another update:
Just in 2 months, builders managed to enclose the ground floor.

Not 2mths yet! You have until the 10th Nov for it to be 2mths. I think you'll have the second floor cladded by then maybe or they might do the roof before the second floor cladding.

Not many people get their project on television but it's such a cool project that it's creating a lot of interest in Perth.

You can't discriminate based on their colour I'm afraid.

Any chance of seeing some plans?
Which builder did you go with?

    Nice project.

I saw you mention previously that funds were sourced from your offset? Which means cash injection into the project? Which means lower deductibility?

What was the tender process like to find the right builder? Were you & WM responsible for find the right builder or did you contract a company to do it?

I have 2 builders that I personally use or it can be done as via a tender process through a building broker.
This site however had already had much of the leg work done and the best builder/solution was recommended by myself to devank. He was happy to go with my recommendation.

@Blacky the builder is Thompsons Sustainable Homes. I'll let @devank choose if he's happy for the plans to be put up or not.

Is the garage and ground floor on the same level? If it isn't, could this same concept be done on a flat block?

    Yes. The land is flat.
I don't see why the same can't be done on another similar flat block as long as you meet regulations.

I'm not sure if I have mentioned this before. This lot has back street access which makes it easier to have the garage at the back.

Thanks @devank! I'm just trying to figure out if you could do the same thing if you didn't have a rear access, as in garage had to be on the front of the house.
