Deducting statutory government search fees

    Hi,

    I was wondering whether the statutory government search fees are an instant tax deduction when buying a rental property?

    These fees were charged via a conveyancer.

    That seems somewhat negative, but sounds reasonable.

    these would be capital costs - might reduce CGT eventually.

    I would have thought a hundred bucks of search fees was an instant write off. I must be losing my expertise.
