Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics advertised a Community Land Grant Application for 4 Earhart Court Marrara, a lookup of this shows this is across the road from and pretty close to the little church.

In the city 13 Lambell Terrace, Larrakeyah is up for division into 3 blocks, this is the back of Cullen Bay, overlooking the park. Listed as recently sold for a tad over the million dollars. The current block size is 1160 m², it would become 3 blocks of an average of 386 m2. This may be the first in that cluster to make use of the 300 m2 minimum block size in Multiple Dwelling Zone.

Numbulwar, a subdivision to create 147 lots for leasing looks interesting, on reading the documents on the Development Applications Online web site it is the township that is being changed to long term leasing.

A confusing buy back of part of the Berrimah farm development for a community use site for $4.9m by the Northern Territory Government. We give them the land then we buy it back, albeit with power and water piped in.

19 Northern Territory Schools are getting Solar panels fitted, the tender listed closes 6th March.

A rare crowd used the Darwin City mall with a large cruise ship in town and a popup Mindil Beach market on the Sunday, a nasty rain squall coming through late in the day would have tested waterproofing. perhaps our city leaders could get some ideas here: renewnewcastle.org

The bridge over the Lower Finniss River in Litchfield Park will bring forward the completion of the bitumen loop from Darwin to Darwin via Litchfield Park and the township of Batchelor, concerns from Batchelor stake holders are that people won't drive the loop but enter from the North and leave the same way.

Jakarta has expanded import permits from four months to 12 months on live cattle imports, and will ease restrictions on cattle age and weight. Another big cruise ship turns up, 4th largest in the world.

First Home Buyers who are cash strapped will be pleased to know that the 97% LVR (Loan to Valuation Ratio) loan is still available. Your deposit goes further. If you would like to know more make contact here.

According to rent.com.au, the Darwin rental property market experienced an overall 8.24 per cent increase in the asking median rent to $460 per week in January from $425 per week in December 2016. The 8.24 per cent increase was the sharpest rise across the country and makes Darwin the second most expensive city for renters, right under Sydney metro which averages $550 per week. I think I'll wait for a longer view before I start counting my chickens.
