Would definitely like this too! I have been using inverted colours on iPhone when reading at night but it’s not ideal thanks
Hi @Simon Hampel , I just wanted to check in to see if this was on the cards soon? It really is not great reading the forum with white background at night, kinda destroy one's eyes! Perhaps at first maybe this could be achieved through a theme users could select (there are already a few to select from), if these are relatively straight forward to install?
my eyes are fading anyway , ( and i type at night without the light on ) so i have no way of knowing if the status quo , or the new scheme will suit me better
Hey @Simon Hampel sorry to be a pain here, but hoping you could share some more details perhaps? Any chance of a dark(er) theme that could be user activated (like the other ones that are already present?)
If you use Chrome you can turn on dark mode by browsing to chrome://flags/#enable-force-dark and clicking Enabled.. Looks good:
Hi everyone, Has this been implemented yet or is it still a work in progress? I have check the forum settings for a while. thanks!
They thought about this but decided to let it be. Is there science to show that black text on a white background or vice versa is best?
This is like asking newspapers to start printing the daily news paper as black paper with white text. I have never read a book that has black pages with white text. Even a ereader doesnt do that. My wife has ipad that allows it. It isnt a thing I like. She cant remember how to change it back. There is too much choice. If its too bright turn the monitor down. Wear dark glasses. I do have a idea....Brown toilet paper. But not like like a lunch bag. Too shiny. Schools used to have blackboards. Then they installed white boards. Then they made them learning spaces and installed electronic screen that cost as much as cars and use electronic gizmos. But the kids cant spell.
But how do you decide on the right 'shade'? Or do you sell a range? Like make-up! Potential million $ idea right there!
