i am currently in Dallas, Texas. I visit here 4 times a year and have done so for the past 5 and a half years. On today's news GM announced a billion dollar upgrade to the Arlington factory. A suburb of Dallas. This is because of the success of the large GM SUV. GM can't keep up with the production. The personnel interviewed were talking about how much overtime they are all doing, with huge smiles on their faces. Arlington are giving $30m in tax relief to encourage the upgrade. I was here 2 months ago when Toyota announced they were moving the Frisco, another suburb of Dallas. This is where I stay. I cannot believe how much it has grown in the time I have been coming here. The Dallas Cowboys are moving their training facility to Frisco. The rental apartments in Frisco have really taken off. Each time I get here there is another one under construction. Nebraska Furniture have built the largest Store I have ever seen. It sells more than furniture! A number of the IT companies operate around Frisco, Dell, etc. The Texas Govt give companies tax incentives to move to Texas. It is working!!
