Cracks in walls

    My only thought with regards to restumper is that he would have a vested interest in this. I feel like it may be best to get an expert opinion and inspection completed by a building inspector.

    Houses in Melbourne are often in need of restumping. Signs include cracking on walls and ceilings and also springy flooring or a gap between base of skirting boards and the floor. A restumper would be best to assess. It could be a few stumps, it could be the lot. They will be able to get under and take some images and then advise you. Engaging a builder will achieve the same thing except they may be less familiar with the alternatives and they may still recommend a restumper who will want to quote it anyway. Or they may overthink the whole issue as its work they rarely ever do. And price it as such.
