A poll. You can still have really bad symptoms even being vaxxed.
You can submit up to 4 responses, for people who have been unlucky enough to have had it multiple times. Please give no more than 1 response per event plus the multiple occasion response.

(Please take it as Hospitalised is beyond moderate to severe, don't select both for the one occasion of Covid)

Due to the 10 option limit, I couldn't fit:
"I've never had Covid but been a close contact"
    And
"I've never had Covid and never been a close contact"
    And
"I strongly feel I've had Covid but never tested positive in testing"
Omicron’s just a mild cold, you think? Think again, says Freo father

Let's say fast recovery is within 5 days, mild symptoms like a flu.

Not dissing the poll @Gockie but it is limited to immediate infection. With "mild symptoms" it does not necessarily mean full recovery which is the underlying thought in the poll.

Example is the young child I've mentioned elsewhere who had a "mild" case but has now developed a phobia to such an extent she is fearful of what many would view as normal activities (riding a bike) and is shortly to undergo counselling.

I've managed to avoid it so far, but know several who have had it. I guess it also depends on what version you got. As a fairly standard sample of what I've seen (my experience only):

Staunchly unvaxxed ... omicron ... sick as a dog for 2 weeks plus with severe flu like symptoms while adamantly denying anything is wrong

Doubled vaxxed young ... delta ... flu like symptoms for 3 days

Triple vaxxed middle aged ... omicron ... scratchy throat and headache

If the symptoms persist then put in the moderate bucket. Sorry, but the software is limited to allowing a poll creator to 10 poll options.

I was triple vaxxed when I got it, and while it was on the mild side for covid (strongish flu like symptoms for most of a week), it had a long tail, with fatigue and shortness of breath persisting for a number of weeks.

I'm guessing I had omicron. My brother and sister-in-law caught it before Xmas, and were laid up for over a week - much sicker than I was. I suspect they had Delta - they are in Brisbane, and the Omicron outbreak had only just started in the southern states.

No. Because the alcohol will sanitise the part of the bottle where your lips massage and gently guzzle that dark, sweet liquor. It will make ya badda dan dem boogans.

I've gotten it in the last week. Mild to moderate flu symptoms, and the day to day is manageable.

But it's wrecked my cardio - 10 minutes of light exercise even has me floored. And I've lost my sense of smell.

    Triple vaxxed.

Not Vaxxed, mild symptoms, Flu/Glandular Fever/Tonsilitis all worse.
    Recovery in 4 days.
Had a weird symptom where my skin was super sensitive, could feel clothes and towels, very uncomfortable.
    34/M/Obese
No loss in taste or smell.
    Cardio fine.

Triple vaxed. All I had was a blocked nose.

    My partner was very sweaty.

We were both proper tested, not RATs.

We were both looking at each other thinking: do you really have it?

Everyone I spoke to on Zoom was like - no way you have it...you look and sound healthy as hell!

My son tested positive before a flight. PCR. Test repeated next day, PCR, again positive.

Absolutely no symptoms, felt fine, ran 10K every second day as he usually does. Triple vax.

That has got to be annoying, guess he couldn't fly.
I've got colleagues taking leave to go overseas in April. I would hate for them to test positive just before flying.

Youngest tested positive (PCR) last week. Had a fever for 2 days then back to his normal self after 4-5 days. He was unvaxxed.

Everyone else in the household is doubled vaxxed and we all tested negative/no symptoms. Figure that one out.

I thought Omicron and/or BA.2 was super transmissible. Was kind of disappointed we tested negative. Would've been a bonus if we all tested positive but were asymptomatic.

    It was the return flight.
Luckily, as he was travelling for business.
Had to wait for a negative test, then fly.
All declared on his return to Australia, immigration only interested in his vaccination status.

If you're a drug smuggler, this could be pretty good for business. When they notice the bulge around your chest, you quickly whip out that vaccination card.

How can you tell if you are sick from covid?
Usually I only get really badly sick in 1 day for normal flu and stuff.
I usually feels like I am dying day 1. It’s a strange phenomenon even my doctor can’t work it out.
Next day I am good as daisy.
