I agree. Health wise we are far better off ATM. And financially, although it's going to be a very difficult time, at least we didn't come into this mess with a huge deficit.

I think that ScoMo, despite early missteps, is going to come out of this with a much higher chance of reelection, with relatively good results health wise (so far).

Unemployment is only a part of the story. There will also be a lot of underemployment as people wanting full time hours only have the opportunity to work part time.

Not sure whether she handled corona well or not?? If she has managed it... great

But no leader or country was prepared for this.

I guess what matters are those that vote, live in NZ

i wonder why she is not popular in NZ
Heard she has not delivered?? Dont know

Who knows whether corona will help
    Her or not?? No idea
Why Jacinda Ardern could be REMOVED as New Zealand Prime Minister as her unpopularity at home continues to grow

That article is over 6 weeks old. The world is completely different since then.

Why don’t you post a recent poll like this one:

Almost 90% of New Zealanders back Ardern government on Covid-19 – poll

    Thats ok.....
It still sets the landscape for what is or has been happening

how long has she been in power in NZ?

question is will corona be enough to save her?

depends on economy and how she manages this and whether voters have confidence and her track record

saving lives is only one part of the story. The voters will decide

i dont care either way? Shes not my PM:p

Elections held in a time of crisis normally favours the incumbent.

But they have to be seen to be doing a good job. That is why I believe Jacinta and Anastasia will win.

ATM, I can’t say the same thing for Trump.

    It is that simple.

I don't think the Covid is the governing factor for Ardern. She seems to be very popular before it hit and even more so these days.

Agree, all that matters are votes

I still wonder why she got such a bad wrap, plenty of negative articles on her performance as PM

Question will corona be enough to win votes???

    time will tell

Plenty of others who've had plenty of negative articles of performance.

    Sarcasm does not become you.

Like her or not ... negative overseas articles or not ... she is widely and very much loved in NZ and had handled this crisis impeccably - including installing the opposition leader as the anti corruption leader ... rather than sacking the overseer like some other leader did

The article you insist on quoting is also a month old ... lot happened in that month
