Hi, I have a courtyard and I'd like to make it look more appealing without spending bug $$.

Any ideas appreciated. Has anybody done a courtyard reno? Any photos would be great.

There are pavers that look OK.
The back is concrete besser blocks up 1 metre then a coulrbond fence above that.
I thought paint them as the wall is bare concrete and the fence cream.
Any idea of colours which would look nice?
or put up one or two those metal screens you can get from Bunnings?
Maybe a built in bench in one corner? .
    It looks pretty ordinary now.

Will post photos next time I go there. Thanks

Oops! Forgot I posted this. Before and after. Just a cheap fix. Straightened some pavers. Few plants, mulch, paint and panels from Bunnings. Less than $500. Sold at first open home.

I'd paint the bricks the same colour as the fence, and put some screening plants in. Not sure if the plants are yours, but a lot of courtyard 'niceness' comes down to the furniture and plant presentation so getting rid of a lot of the clutter will go a long way.

Not sure of the area your property is in, but while a built in bench will likely look lovely, will it be over capitalising? It might not be enough bang for buck on it's own without a full re-landscape.

Jess the AFTER photo is already there. The fence colour is yuk and would not enhance the plants. A darker grey would have been better. I would have painted the fence too but as it's strata I couldn't. Someone fell in love with the place and wanted us to cancel the open home so they could buy it straight away so the objective was achieved. The inside looked great too. We were impressed with ourselves. LOL!

Oh sorry - I thought it was inspo! I did marvel at how you found something so similar to your current courtyard! :D

The finished product looks great and I'm not surprised it sold quickly.
