    Hello guys,

I just bought a house and would like to build an internal wall to devide the second bedroom into 2 rooms, the original size is 3.7x4.85. I attach the file so you can understand what I am trying to say :D

The red lines are the walls that I want to build. The flower icon are doors I want to build. The floor right now is carpeted. I live in chirnside park, just want to know how much to get it done?
    Thank you all

That would make the room way too small :(

Have had walls done internally to create a 4th bedroom out of a lounge room. Was about 2k for an insulated wall, gyprocked and painted.

I'm wondering if you are wanting a fifth bedroom for extra rent or if this is your own home and you need the extra room?

When we turned an enclosed verandah into a bedroom by adding a new front door, it didn't get us any more rent because we still had one bathroom (I know you have two) and potential tenants expected a four bedroom house to have a secondary living area, which we didn't have.

So, we didn't gain anything from spending the money really (except the third bedroom was so small that this change gave us three good sized bedrooms, which we didn't have before).

And I agree with @D.T. that you are turning one good sized room into two very small rooms.

    Thank you D.T.
I just need a cozy area at the back for religious purpose. So it doesnt need to be big.

Make your cozy religious are at the bottom of the room where the BIR is, which will result in a much bigger remaining bedroom as it wont be eaten up by unusable corridor

The first bedroom is smaller than the second, if I devide that into 2 rooms, the bedroom would not be enough for my husband and I =.= our family got 5 members so we just cannot let one bedroom to be the religious room.

If you only need a very small space, I would run a wall to make a passage in front of the BIR which will lead to a small room. The BIR can become a linen or general cupboard. This will give you a prayer room around 2m x 2m if that is sufficient.

In your diagram the wall would run from the brown dot in the middle of the yellow flower across to the side wall.

You will only take around 2m or less from the bedroom which leaves you with a usable back bedroom 3.7m x 2.85m without the wasted space of a bigger passage.
