Considering the option of increasing the ROI on a property in the Central Coast. This is the current floor plan. I think it has good potential for dual occupancy. I just don't know where to start.

How does one even start on working out the costs for this? (Ie. Kitchen placed downstairs, laundry added to upstairs, seperate the electricity, enclosed what needs to be enclosed, potentially add a driveway/parking space)

Sorry, but a complete newb without any skills/contacts.

    Start with regulations.

What are the state and council requirements to make the property legal for dual occupancy?
