    i have always had an interest in these types of re-developments.
    i've seen a few converted around the inner sydney areas like leichhardt, surry hills, alexandria

    has anyone thought outside the box and done something similar

    @bmc The old telephone exchange at Drummoyne was converted several years ago. A very non-descript building. These will come to market in coming years as they're functionally obsolescent - all of old analogue equipment has been ripped out.

    Electrical substations - these are loaded with PCBs, contaminated cooling oils. Aesthetically, many are individual designs and quite interesting. The old sub at Boronia Park was converted several years ago, Pymble sub is up for lease, Artarmon Sub is for sale.
