    G'day,

Just wanting to see if anyone can list any useful websites and tools to find out what major projects and infrastructure spending is happening in a given town or city?

I have just started looking into this today and a few websites below to get the list going. But need to find many more. Would be great if there is a way to say type in a state, and see a list of projects via vale, eg. multi-billion dollar projects at the top. Thanks.

    General Infrastructure Projects:
    Budget Announcements
    Infrastructure Investment Program
Infrastructure Magazine - News, views and opinion from the Australian infrastructure industry

    Shopping Centre / Retail Projects:
    Development – Shopping Centre News
Gold Coast shopping centres | We Are Gold Coast

    School Projects:
TAS School Projects: Infrastructure Projects - The Department of Education Tasmania
VIC School Projects: Policy | education.vic.gov.au
    QLD School Projects: Major projects
More QLD School Projects: New schools
    NSW School Projects: Home Page

    Other:
    List of megaprojects - Wikipedia
A Complete List of Australian Infrastructure Projects

For this useful website, (BCI Central,) you need a membership, so I doubt heaps of people on here would use it, but I have one for work. You can search for projects in tender or construction phase etc. and get a good amount of info. I can only search VIC currently with our membership.

Corelogic operate the largest in the country for assisting tenders at all stages of planning. Its called Cordell Connect. It connects real opportunities and allows qualified parties to bid and cost. Used for the Sydney Olympics in 1994 onwards and covers major civils, commercial, tenders, even major plant etc coal loaders, railheads etc and mining and resources. They often break a whole job into sub elements and trade specific. eg It may appear initially seeking a lead project manager....then design for each element or as a set and within that specific services eg site, hydraulic etc. ....etc. The design sets the specifications. Eventually down to something specific like interior fixout etc if we use the example of the Badgerys Creek terminal for example. Carpark civils and bitumen and even signs and road marking, street furniture, signs etc. . It used to cost a bit. There are similiar smaller ones etc estimateone but its more focussed on build tenders more for subbies than at a higher level.

Some will never appear here. Eg New subs and bases, new troop carriers, helos, base expansion etc. CASG (Former Defence Materiel Organisation was rebuilt) handles sourcing for national security based matters. Preapproved participation. And secret squirrel stuff based on nat security through designated partners like HP for IT. (ATO, ADF and Centrelink etc).

The Commonwealth Govt and each State Govt usually has a infrastructure projects site. Then various departmnets eg transport. Its changes up and down continually and isnt always accurate. eg The Vic railway issues are in a uncertain phase with Commonwealth support limited so it may be canned or mothballed or modified. Sydney West Metro has some possible route / station changes maybe. Even project sites can be located.

    Future Transport plans NSW Transport
