Today's SMH p.5.... It's a lifestyle choice... and in Sydney it's the very high income people drinking it... (probably the only people who can comfortably afford the habit!) 20170930_124736.jpg

Just sitting down to a lovely cup while looking out over the slopes with snow flurries all around.

It's an expensive cup as it comes with on-snow accommodation. :p

Just made my second for the day.... I buy good beans at $43/kg but so worth it. And cutting sugar from my diet meant none in coffee either, so can further appreciate the nuances of the bean roast

Really? Only high income people drink coffee?

Australia must be doing well, lots of coffee shops everywhere and they are always full.

I don't care what anyone says, buying good coffee won't stop anyone from becoming wealthy.

    Coffee is cheap!

Its the $300/gram coke habit that is the budget killer for the poor!

But drinking poor quality coffee may validate poor life choices.

It's $3 in Perth for a decent coffee. People can save a lot more than that taking their lunch to work.

Just moved office from Milsons Point to North Sydney. Old price for large 4.20, new price 3.50 (2.50 after 2.30pm). Quality is better too! Amazing the prices you can charge to a captive market.

I usually drink at least 8 double espressos a day - only pay for one of these, the rest are provided with our free coffee machines. Would make an expensive habit

63% of the population like cappuccinos the best, 41% flat whites. No problems here.

I am trying to get a foot on the Sydney property ladder so the best I can do is pilfer International roast from the office.

So that's 104%. As a black coffee drinker, I'm in the bit left over after that.

Wow. I used to the Australia stretched further west. Clearly I was wrong.

    No problems here.
