    Hi,
What's the best way to remove excess silicone on tiles and benchtop surfaces?
I'm thinking of carefully using a sharp razor blade to cut away what I can and then using some methylated spirits to clean what's left behind.
    Any other ideas?

get razor blade, hold it horizontally against the tile and then push down slowly. You may end up removing the whole thing though depending on how pedantic you are.

I would... its a pretty poor job. All that was required was to wipe the paddle pop stick more frequently... but they were lazy and tried to do it in one hit.

    Still, I've seen worse.

Meth (spirits ) doesnt do jack. Solvents like turps can help BUT can make clear go milky or spread it further

You can buy a small pump bottle of silicone dissolver in Bunnings. Its not aggressive and good for dissolving overwipe and smears etc). Then use a single sided blade.
