Good Afternoon All, After a few year hiatus, I am back on PC. Question. Does anyone here have/had experience in building a childcare centre? Not retrofitting a resi property, but commercial builds. I understand the financing aspects. We have secured a site with plans and permits, quotes are currently being obtained for the build. I am curious if there are any 'back of the envelope' calculations used as a rule of thumb. Eg, Build cost per approved place or build cost per sqm of internal space + X for car parking per sqm etc etc. I have my own estimate and budget, but just curious to find out from those more experienced in the commercial space. Warm regards GG
single storey or double? Some day care centres get very $$$ if they have basement parking plus 2 storeys vs a single storey tilt concrete. Who is doing the playground equipment - cos there is another $150-200k depending on the size. In WA it's about $2250 psqm for single level concrete tilt panel for the building.
