So we have missed settlement. The conveyancer still has the f**king purchase price wrong.

    Edit: and the address too!

I'll reveal all once it's settled.

I also need part of my initial cash deposit back because my last place revalued way higher than I expected (I think I previously mentioned it on here). I asked my conveyancer if they could do this without mixing it with the equity loan funds. They told me "yes, no problem" every step of the way. Now we're due for settlement and they've revealed the funds will all be mixed, causing me a big tax headache. I am now chasing down the agents conveyancer to try and resolve this.

    Far out.

Out of curiosity, have you used this conveyancer before?

Good progress today despite the rain. Bathroom will be tiled tomorrow, and I'll finish off the gazebo project. Carpet and vinyl go in on Tuesday, vanity/oven/shower screen will be in by Friday, and I'll spend next weekend cleaning up and working on the gutters & verandah. The house should be available for rent in about a week

    Spend so far: $4.1k

Wanna hope your conveyancer has it settled by then, i would be a bit worried splashing $$$$$ on a place that wasn't in my name.

That's a good attitude to have.
Can be pretty stressful if you let it get to you.

Oh I still worry - there's just no point to it ;)

Progress photos: we have ourselves a $300 gazebo! And the bathroom floor has tiles again!

I've easily spent a few hundred at the local bakery. Lucky for me they have a rewards card
