Do you get approval from OC for minor renovation of stand-alone villa/townhouse ?

    Hi,

According to the new (2017?) law in NSW, installation of ceiling insulation is minor renovation, which requires approval from owner corporate.

I live in a free-standing strata unit (villa?). I am thinking of installing new ceiling insulation as none exists except the reflective foil (which I won't remove).

I'd like to know what I can do if the OC is taking months to give approval (the legislation says, OC cannot unreasonably withhold the approval but does not provide a time-frame) ?

    Regards,

They probably won't but I want as much things to be kosher as possible.
