As of this morning, got 1.36% 80% LVR - new customer.

Also waiting to hear back on referral for pricing on a LOC and Fixed for existing customer. See what they come back with on those.

would there be much difference in discounting on lvr 80-95%?

    say a 300k loan 80% or a 300k loan 90% lvr

@Elives, yeah. Over 80% they're not so generous. Best I've got recently was 1.15% for max LVR of 90% and 0.88% on LVR over 90%.

    It's hit and miss.

    I've recently obtained 1.36% on $380k at 90%

    Cheers

Looking back at this thread 8 years ago CBA were offering an approx discount of 1.4% when we had a higher RBA base rate then today. Fast forward to today and discounts are over 2%, i'm assuming their hunger for loans has grown over time

More like need to stay at least halfway competitive to stay afloat

New biz rates at 70 LVR or less are okish, but still a struggle to get them anywhere near the mid tier lenders for LVRs 70 and >

    > 90 at CBA is really poor compared to say WBC comparing like for like

You would need to submit a special pricing at $3.7mil - the rate should be somewhere in between 3.89% and 4.14% for investment IO.

Westpac is most aggressive for loans over $2.5mil and they are around 3.59% for investment IO.

You'll get a better result if you do this at the time of application. Post settlement pricing is never as good as what they offer new customers.
