I just got my latest car registration bill and I had to check that I still have a pulse. For a 4 cylinder car, it is $745. I must be out of touch, I thought it used to be about $500

The motorbike is $502 and the camper is the same as the trailer, $110

What do you pay in other states?

    Where is the Dislike button?

I'm in Brisbane so do feel the pain. That's one of the reasons we are down to one car from two.
Really not happy especially the Govt just announced they'd pay the Pubic Servant $1,250 each!
Did you look at the breakdown, what is the CTP component?

I'd like to know that too.

I am one of those Public Servants (Teaches Aide on around $30k per annum) and I was given quite a substantial improvement in my conditions with our new EBA, but there is a twist. Just because any specific EBA has been agreed to by the unions and the relevant government department, the whole proceedings have been held up indefinitely...blah blah blah. Confidentiality clauses, Code of Conduct and all that.

Canberra: $1,089.80. Sedan between tare 1505 to 2504kg. Slight reduction from last year ($1,138.70) due to change in Third Party Insurance. No application of any senior citizen's discount. I've never applied for any of those sort of discounts.
