    hi guys,

    New here. Can anyone recommend a switched on broker? I need advice we have one property and two duplexes being built. But we have just bought a larger block of land we want to settle on. Need someone who is good at figures/lending and investment strategy to make sure I don't just go selling these other properties when I might not have to

    I've done very similar to what you're doing, building duplex on one block of land. @Corey Batt financed mine and was terrific.

    There are lots of excellent brokers on the forums - have a read of their posts, websites and you'll soon see who has the knowledge you're after.

    Plenty of switched on brokers on the forum, check out the Finance section and you will see some fairly technical but easy to understand brokers on there.

    If a broker wasn't good from the forum they would likely not last long as this is an investment forum and people talk so they likely wouldn't continue to operate here.

    @Simon Moore or @Corey Batt would have my vote. I've spoken to both about some professional lending, I've got shared clients with Simon who came from him and whilst I can't think of someone that came to me direct from Corey I am certain a number of my clients have used him - but in any case, haven't heard a bad word about either.

    Much depends on if you need face to face contact.

    If you read people's investment success stories on propertychat or somersoft, most of them have 2 people to thank, @Rolf Latham or @Michael_X . I haven't worked with them as yet but if I decide to use the services of a broker, I would speak to one of them.
