You recommended @skater for an opinion.

From my understanding @skater had an issue with their rental department and not the sales department.

As this thread concerns sales, I didn't think @skater could provide an opinion based on personal experience. But I could be wrong. Over to you @skater.

OK. I understand what you meant now. When I suggested @skater might have an opinion I was referring to her possible knowledge of a decent selling agent in the area answering the OP's question. I wasn't directly replying to a particular agent as I think you may have thought.
I know that skater knows the area well and has dealt with both rental and selling agents in the past. If I'm not wrong I think she sold a couple recently, hence my suggestion she might might know a decent selling agent.

You can add their Strata Management as well, if you like.

It is true, that I haven't personally used them for a sale, HOWEVER I have been to their open homes and spoken to their Agents more times than I care to remember, and I stand by my previous comments that I would NEVER use them. Not for rentals, not for sales, and not for Strata Management if I had a choice.

As far as I'm concerned, Raine & Horne score a trifecta in the thumbs down category.

I have purchased through them and based on that, would not recommend them even to the person in the world I dislike the most.

OK they're not recommended for sales by some. But I had a different experience.

I got good service and there was no clash over anything. Maybe I was lucky.

LOL! No! More like so I can get a good deal. The best combination is lazy Agents & tenants that won't allow access.

@skater, RH St Marys manage a property for me. Things were going well, then the tenant started falling behind rent and we had to had get new tenants. Before the new group moved in, I let RH manage a small reno (paint & fixes) but the work took an extra ordinarily long time. The cost blow out, was massive as well from the original quote. Have you had them manage a property for you?

Be warned! We had a bad tenant. It took years to get them out because at the tribunal they were always given leniency because they have children. When we finally were able to get rid of them, my PM told me that R & H were the new agents that had taken them on. They were not contacted to give a reference, nor to look at their ledger.

Do yourself a favour & get a new PM.

The place I bought through them was also managed by them. The tenant told me when the agent was elsewhere that they had not had an inspection in over 2 years.

Hope that gives you an idea of what you are dealing with.

@skater and @DaveM appreciate the responses. I will start to do some research on the area on local PMs. To their credit they did find me new tenants, after we went through tribunal many times. Like DaveM I bought the property through them, and it was easy to continue the lease arrangement through their PM.

Did anyone have expiernce with David Frendo from R&W Rooty Hill?
I only dealt with him when purchasing a property. His name appears on so many properties, he sounds like a decent sales person.
