Post before and afters and let us know the cost. Sorry I don't have any specific recommendations but I like gumtree to find tradies. Just do your due diligence and have your wits about you.

I know somebody in south side. He did for our ip, reasonable and reliable I think. Cost $2000 for ripping out carpets, sanded and polished (3 bed room house, good sized living & dinning area). Let me know if interested

I've posted this in another thread. I have no idea how far Alex will travel, but the last two jobs we had done by Alex 0433 441 723

He is very good, likes a chat and we call him Alex Sander the Great :D

I don't actually know his surname so a search is unlikely to find him. He came recommended to us by a builder who uses him all the time. We've now used him twice and he does a great job.

Interestingly, we did our first floor sand 26 years ago and we've sanded a number of floors in the years since then. Floor sanders don't seem to stay in the business for terribly long. It is a tough gig and the fumes and dust they breath seems to knock them about.

I meant a search on PC. Yes, the ex did the floors on our first reno and after that we paid someone else to do it, it was a terrible job though the boards came up beautifully.

My PM has just emailed me photos of the finished floors and they look fantastic!!

Alex did a great job, cost was $3,135 inc GST and included ripping up and disposing of carpet and underlay etc I'm on the other side of the country so couldn't do it myself.

I'm pretty sure I got a quote from someone a year ago when I bought the place and it was over $4,000

Now just give me about a hundred years to figure out how to post before and after photos....
