Gave my canon some more exercise today. Perfectly behaved model never hurts. It's sooo worth it buying a decent camera and spending a few weeks doing an online course. I think I can take decent casual shots now. My photos pre course were shockers... cut off arms... bins in background.. out of focus..

@Sackie - great picture of a stump, some blades of seagrass & rocks but some little kiddie keeps getting in the way.

You're getting a feel for depth of field, getting rid of distracting backgrounds etc.

Trusty Google phone takes good snaps. Girl needs some fresh air.. even during corona.

Second photo looks a bit "yellow/orange" - could be mix of sand, the shirt? May be play around on the photo with colour temp / saturation to bring the greens out a bit?

Yesterday sold some camera gear I had. Nikon D3500 plus 35mm, 50mm and 85mm lenses.

Now just a Nikon D7500 and 18-140mm lens. Very basic kit and simple (for me.)

I ideally wanted an OM2 but settled for a Canon AE1 Program (never used the auto settings).

AE1 was where I started too - used the 300mm fixed at many a grand prix.
