No, taken with my Canon 200D. Was a catch22 cos night time required long exposure but the wheel was moving which required quicker shutter speed to avoid the blurry effect but then would be too dark for night time. So had to snap shots when it was mostly still.

The next time you're doing it, try out the Pixel. That's just the sort of shot it does really well, automatically.

What ISO were you using? Depending on what you're going to use the picture for, you can crank it up. Shots aren't as fine detailed, but that's ok if you're not going to enlarge them significantly.

But there will always be low light situations which you can't shoot.

(For low light, also try the Night Sight mode on your Pixel, and compare it to the Canon with the same shot.)

I think I kept it to a low iso but could have cranked it up as like you said I'm not blowing up the image. I'll trying using my pixel camera and see how it fares.

It's really good to experiment. You have the luxury of being able to take a lot of photos with a lot of different settings and to see the results straight away - us oldies didn't have that. You're doing well, and it seems that you are enjoying it.

Yeah it's the creative element I really enjoy, probably the same reason I enjoy developing. Still doing that online course you recommended and it's great. When there are bits I want to learn more about I'll do YouTube searches after that section of the course.

I had to think about that. Coming from old school photography, I was thinking developing film, not developing property.

Interesting - had the same thought.

We did film developing (B&W) in a darkroom in Primary Grade 6 (which wasn't completely dark for those who don't know ~ although the teacher told us developing colour would have to be done in pitch dark)

It's a bit hard taking photos in dark rooms?

Decided to grab my laptop and work from the outdoors today. Parsley Bay quite relaxing and deserted during the weekdays.

Camera using my Google pixel 3. Not bad for a phone camera. Best thing I love about this phone is it's basically hands free. Can do all the phone functions without even touching it.

It's really a beautiful spot. Water in most parts is crystal clear.

Lightroom would fix the tones in these photos, they need a little more detail in the dark areas. What lens did you use?
Was a keen photographer some time ago but sold all my gear when it became too heavy to carry around :(
