Back garden is nearly done, electrican comes today to put some lights in.

It will all slow down now while we wait for our Heritage impact statement for the back extension.

Dare I ask when the grass went in? How did it cope with the last couple of days?

    Cheers,
    Inertia.

Luckily I've got 6 pop up sprinklers in the lawn and 10 spray sprinklers in the garden beds

Hey @tomlemke nice work with the renos! When you got your DA did they have much to say around colour changes? I notice a lot of the Hamilton East Californian ones have some really questionable colour schemes on the front...

Wow I forgot about this, council does recommend color choices but doesn't really seem to check up on it. We ended up going back white on the windows and grey on the fascia. House looks completely different now I should put up some finished photo's.

Most councils have rules concerning colour uniformity. They bring out the rulebook when some idiot wants a lime green garage door and orange guttering or footy club colours. Heritage / period homes may also need to maintain charecter and style in keeping with features. If planning to depart from convention it may be worth checking.

I worked near a Parramatta house that was used as a mortgage broker office. The broker painted all the brickwork a aweful shade of aqua consistent with branding. A few months later they had a team of people stripping paint. Council had ordered it back to the brick.

The design, materials and colours must be consistent with the dwelling. is an example of my council.
