I wouldnt go further south past white rock. Closer to the city the better, Earlville, westcourt, manoora, manunda, white rock, mount sheridan will fit your bracket. You wont get anything north cairns for <350k. I know cause that is my price range also. Stay away from units until insurance is sorted out. Also get insurance quotes on anything, stay away from flood areas. Machans and holloways beach are a bit to close to the airport noise wise imo. Insurance probably an issue also being close to the beach. If you find anything feel free to pm me and i'll give you my 2 cents. I'm tied up with my own purchase at the moment.

I was surprised to see how many German tourists and workers there were last time I was there.

@Andrew H thanks for the feedback and the offer to run potential properties by you, much appreciated. Will do some deeper research and look at listings again.

The airport doesn't flood, the drainage system is excellent.

It would have to be I guess.

I went out to that treatment plant next to it a few times and everything is raised for flooding, but the one I worked on at portsmith wasn't. I never really looked into :D

The "watch" function isn't very effective.
Just seems to add the threads with new posts.
